TCP2COM Bridge and Monitor is a specialized software for Windows Desktop that helps connect TCP/IP (Internet) and Com Ports (serial communication). It can work as a bridge between these two types of communication, allowing data to flow between them. This means it can take messages from a Com Port and send them to a TCP/IP client or server, and vice versa, enabling two-way communication.

Additionally, TCP2COM can be used to connect two serial devices using a TCP/IP bridge. One serial device acts like a TCP client, and the other acts like a TCP server. This setup allows both devices to send and receive messages through TCP/IP, giving you more options for communication.

TCP2COM is useful for tasks like building and testing industrial automation systems, working with remote PLCs (programmable logic controllers), microcontrollers, Arduino devices, and communicating with PCs. It helps you easily connect serial devices and expand your choices for communication methods.

It's also handy for developing and testing communication server programs. It can simulate a GPRS modem, connecting a field device's serial port to a remote server via TCP/IP. This simulation helps you test your communication server programs in realistic situations.

TCP2COM can handle messages in different formats, like text, binary, decimal, and hexadecimal, making it versatile for various applications.

 

What's New

In the latest version of TCP2COM Bridge and Monitor, we've added some new features to make your experience even better:

Copy Messages to Clipboard: Now, you can easily copy the messages you receive through TCP and Com Ports to your computer's clipboard. This makes it convenient to paste and use the messages in other applications.

Export Messages in TXT Format: We've also introduced a feature that allows you to export your messages in a TXT format. This means you can save your communication data for future reference or analysis.

Set RX Timeout: You can now set a Receive (RX) Timeout, which is the time gap between two incoming messages. If two or more messages arrive within this timeout period, they are combined. This feature helps you manage and organize your messages more effectively.

Timestamp Support: In this new version, we've included support for timestamps. This means that each message you receive will be marked with a timestamp, so you can keep track of when each message was received. This is especially useful for tracking the timing of communication events.
